A big Thank You party
Everyone agrees that October’s Food and Drink Festival was the best yet. TV chefs Mary Berry, James Tanner and Paul Rankin demonstrating in the Crown Hotel; The Gourmet Food Marquee with over 70 stalls; another successful Real Ale trail; the roving feast Manger a Trois evenings; and, of course, a special Festival Farmers’ Market! Yes a truly wonderful week!
Well, last night was our opportunity to thank the many many people who had helped to make the event such a success. We took over the Lounge in the Market Square and Custodio put on a superb Portuguese buffet. And we were delighted to welcome over 70 helpers and volunteers so that we could personally thank them for all their efforts.
There was a great atmosphere and we talked about our plans for next year’s Festival. Everyone wants to be involved again and we had numerous offers of extra help too! What a fantastic community spirit we have here in Stone!
