Good news for Youth Cafe
Stone’s Youth Cafe came a step nearer reality last week when the Charity Commissioners granted charitable status to the Youth Cafe Committee . This is fantastic news for the project. The group have some very exciting plans for fundraising and being a registered charity will certainly open some doors so far as grant applications are concerned.
And the funds received a boost on Saturday morning when a total sum of £515 was received - a £350 donation from the Stone Lions and the rest from the proceeds of a car wash morning held at the Fire Station. Well done to all the car washers and to Jill Hood who stood in the High Street selling vouchers!
And a little birdie tells me that there may be some progress soon with regard to locating suitable premises!
